Take off both Steering Column trim panels and Steering Column wiring harness securing straps (1,2). Locate and remove the connectors from the switch module while remembering how the Steering Column wires should be installed during replacement. Peel back the wire harness cover at the bottom Steering Column then withdraw the wire bundle. Unplug electrical connectors number 1 and 3 from the windshield wiper and washer switch. Press the locking tab on the windshield wiper and washer switch and take the switch off the Steering Column. To put in the new switch, first fit the windshield wiper and washer switch onto the Steering Column then connect the electrical connectors 1 and 3. Support the wire harness on the Steering Column bottom and place the wire harness shield in position. Then attach and connect the window wiper and washer switch electrical parts before installing the wiring harness ties (1,2). Use the windshield wiper and washer switch to activate sir.
