    Q:
How to replace the Wiper Switch on Buick LaCrosse? Posted by Customer
    A:
Turning off the sir system is the first step to replace the wiper and washer switch. Take off both Steering Column trim panels and Steering Column wiring harness securing straps (1,2). Locate and remove the connectors from the switch module while remembering how the Steering Column wires should be installed during replacement. Peel back the wire harness cover at the bottom Steering Column then withdraw the wire bundle. Unplug electrical connectors number 1 and 3 from the windshield wiper and washer switch. Press the locking tab on the windshield wiper and washer switch and take the switch off the Steering Column. To put in the new switch, first fit the windshield wiper and washer switch onto the Steering Column then connect the electrical connectors 1 and 3. Support the wire harness on the Steering Column bottom and place the wire harness shield in position. Then attach and connect the window wiper and washer switch electrical parts before installing the wiring harness ties (1,2). Use the windshield wiper and washer switch to activate sir.

    Q:
How to Change the Wiper Switch on a Buick LaCrosse? Posted by Customer
    A:
Make sure to deactivate the sir system first, after which you should carefully follow the proper steps. Take off the steering column trim covers and cut open the steering column wiring harness tie straps. Connectors should be removed from the module, and the wire harness shield at the bottom of the steering column should be folded down to pull out the wire harness , keeping track of its original direction. Take off the electrical connectors (1,3) from the windshield wiper and washer switch, then push down the locking tab on the switch so you can take it off the steering column. For installation, put the new windshield wiper and washer switch onto the steering column and plug in the electrical connectors (1,3). Reconnect the wire harness to the wire harness shield on the steering column, put the switch's connector in place, and make sure the tie straps (1,2) are tight. In the last step, fit the steering column trim covers back on and turn the sir system back on.
