Place the cover alignment pins (J 44219) into the block but use the supplied plastic installation sleeve on the new seal before throwing it away after installation. After installing the Crankshaft rear oil seal housing over alignment pins and Crankshaft you must screw in all housing bolts but keep guide pins out. Use the guide pin insertion tool to remove the guide pins then install and tighten the remaining two housing bolts to 10 n.m (89 lb in).
