You need to take away the rear quarter lower trim to find the anchor plate when changing the rear door striker. Apply a grease pencil on the rear door lock striker's position before removing its screws along with the striker and shims. The anchor plate needs to be removed as the next step. Begin installation by putting the anchor plate in first after that put lock shims with striker directly below then lock striker screws into place while making certain the striker aligns with previous made marks. Tighten lock striker screws to 24 N.m (18 lb ft) and perform necessary adjustments on the lock striker. Put back the rear quarter lower trim as the final step.
