  A: The following tools are necessary to swap out the Rendezvous's door emblem and nameplate: Customers need a Heat Gun (J 25070) combined with 3M(TM) Scotch Brite Molding Adhesive Remover Disk (3M(TM) P/N 07501) to carry out the operation. Heat Gun (J 25070) and 3M(TM) Scotch Brite Molding Adhesive Remover Disk (3M(TM) P/N 07501). Protect and precisely position the door emblem by using tape before beginning the work. Apply the Heat Gun (J 25070) at 152 mm (6 in) distance for 30 seconds to the emblem/nameplate through circular movements. Use a plastic tool with a flat blade to take off the emblem/nameplate after heating it. Wash off all adhesive residues from the door panel surface and back of the emblem/nameplate with the 3M(TM) Scotch Brite Molding Adhesive Remover Disk (3M(TM) P/N 07501). Apply varnish makers and painters (VMP) naptha to clean the door surface. Place tape on the door panel and position a marker at 19.5 mm (0.78 in) above the feature line and 68.7 mm (2.7 in) from its front edge. Use the Heat Gun (J 25070) to heat the door surface until it reaches 21°C (70°F) while avoiding contact with the emblem/nameplate adhesive side. Press the front area of the emblem/nameplate gently onto the door panel after you remove the backing and finish removing the rest of the backing. After placing the emblem/nameplate into position the technician needs to use their hands to roll it for good adhesion before inspecting its bonding and removing tape from the area surrounding the door emblem.
