    A: The first step to change a crankshaft balancer starts with Drive Belt removal and removal of the right front tire with wheel and removal of the right engine splash shield. Jack stands should be placed on the frame while loosening the left frame bolts and removing the right side frame bolts to lower the frame prior to accessing the crankshaft balancer. Install the Flywheel holder (J 43442) to the Flywheel for preventing torque while removing the torque converter cover. The crankshaft balancer bolt with washer must be removed before using crankshaft balancer remover (J 41816) to extract the crankshaft balancer. Install the crankshaft balancer with the balancer and crank sprocket installer (J 29113) after applying sealant to the keyway of the balancer. Once the Flywheel holder (J 43442) returns to the Flywheel position use the crankshaft balancer washer followed by the bolt. Tighten this bolt to 160 n.m (118 lb ft). The frame and leakdown procedure calls for removing the Flywheel holder (J 43442) before reinstalling the torque converter cover as well as restoring the frame to its original position by tightening the frame bolts. The right engine splash shield together with right front tire and wheel and Drive Belt should be installed last.
