2007 Buick Rendezvous Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to replace the right side engine mount on 2007 Buick Rendezvous?
A: The right side Engine Mount replacement starts with taking off the air cleaner outlet duct as well as Engine Mount struts and Catalytic Converter and right front wheel with tire and right engine splash shield. Use wooden blocks between your Oil Pan and jack support before starting to remove the Engine Mount lower nuts. The procedure requires engine elevation by adjustable stand with washers under it and removal of bracket bolts for fwd and awd systems. The adjustable jack and block of wood functions to lift the engine so the Engine Mount/bracket can be removed before taking out both fwd and awd Engine Mount/bracket and its nuts. First install the awd Engine Mount bracket followed by bracket nuts which should be tightened until they reach 50 n.m (37 lb ft). Installation of the fwd Engine Mount bracket starts with bracket nut installation while torquing to 50 n.m (37 lb ft). First secure the bracket nuts for awd and fwd up to 58 n.m (43 lb ft). Lower the engine until the mount/bracket meets the correct position in the cradle before installing the Engine Mount lower nuts at 47 n.m (35 lb ft). The last step involves reinstallation of the right engine splash shield and right front wheel combined with tire and Catalytic Converter and Engine Mount struts and air cleaner outlet duct.
