Next step for replacement includes moving the engine harness bracket before taking out the engine strut. A thorough evaluation of the engine mount strut rubber needs to confirm its condition regarding hardness and check for splitting and cracking. Begin by installing the engine mount strut before inserting the engine mount strut bolt through the engine mount strut bracket for attaching the engine harness clip to the bulb of the engine mount strut bolt. Refer the engine mount strut bolt to its bracket through the engine mount strut nut and fasten them using a torque of 48 Nm (36 ft. lbs.). To finish the installation you should attach the engine mount strut bolt through the engine mount strut bracket on upper radiator support and equally tighten it to 48 Nm (36 ft. lbs.).

The replacement process of left side engine mount struts should start with intake manifold cover removal. Now that the bolt connects the engine mount strut to the strut bracket you can remove the through bolt with its nut while also taking off the engine harness clip that secures to the through bolt. Moving on to the replacement tasks, first loosen through bolt and nut between the engine mount strut and strut bracket before disabling both components. Then proceed to remove through bolt and the engine mount strut itself. Check the rubber of the engine mount strut for indications of splitting or hardening or presence of breaking. The installation requires first fitting the engine mount strut before securely attaching the engine mount strut to engine mount strut bracket through bolt. You should install the engine mount strut to engine mount strut bracket through bolt and nut with a torque of 48 N.m (36 lb ft). Attach the engine harness clip back to the through bolt while also installing the engine mount strut bracket through bolt with its corresponding nut. After installation of the intake manifold cover complete the procedure by tightening the engine mount strut to engine mount strut bracket through bolt and nut to 48 N.m (36 lb ft).

The left engine mount strut replacement process starts by disassembly of the engine mount strut bolt and nut at the left engine mount strut bracket on the engine followed by the engine mount strut bolt and nut at the engine mount strut bracket on the upper radiator support before removing the engine mount strut. Thoroughly inspect the engine mount strut rubber for signs of hardness and splits as well as cracks. Reinstall the engine mount strut where the engine mount strut bracket locates on the upper radiator support and tighten the engine mount strut bolt to 48 Nm (35 ft. lbs.) before installing the engine mount strut at the left engine mount strut bracket on the engine with the bolt and nut while securing the engine mount strut nut to 48 Nm (35 ft. lbs.).

Install the engine mount strut bolt and nut to the engine mount strut bracket, tightening them to 48 Nm (36 ft. lbs.).

Install the bolt and nut to the engine mount strut at the engine mount strut bracket on the upper radiator support.

Install the engine mount bracket with the engine mount to the oil pan and secure the engine mount bracket-to-oil pan bolts, tightening them to 58 Nm (43 ft. lbs.).

Begin by removing the engine mount strut bracket bolt and nut from the engine mount strut bracket on the upper radiator support.

Remove the throttle body air inlet duct, engine mount struts, and right front wheel and tire, then raise and support the vehicle.

Place the engine mount strut back in position.

Remove the bolt and nut from the engine mount strut at the right engine mount strut bracket on the engine.

Lower the vehicle, install the engine mount struts, and reinstall the throttle body air inlet duct.

Install the engine mount bracket for AWD, followed by the bracket nuts, tightening them to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).

Tighten the engine mount strut nuts to 48 Nm (35 ft. lbs.).

Install the engine mount-to-engine bolt and tighten to 58 Nm (43 ft. lbs.).

Remove the air cleaner outlet duct, engine mount struts, catalytic converter, right front wheel and tire, and right engine splash shield.

Lower the engine using the utility stand, install the engine mount bracket to the oil pan, and fasten the engine mount bracket-to-oil pan bolts to 58 Nm (43 ft. lbs.) and the upper bracket to engine block bolt to 85 Nm (63 ft. lbs.).

Place a utility stand and a block of wood under the oil pan to raise the engine.

Remove the engine mount upper nuts and detach the engine mount from the engine mount bracket.

Lower the engine using the utility stand, install the engine mount lower nuts to 47 Nm (35 ft. lbs.), and reattach the right engine splash shield and right front wheel and tire.

Install the engine mount lower nuts to 43 Nm (32 ft. lbs.).

Install the bolt and nut to the engine mount strut at the left engine mount strut bracket on the engine, tightening the engine mount strut nut to 48 Nm (35 ft. lbs.).

Ensure to follow the Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Lower the engine using the utility stand, install the engine mount lower nuts, and tighten them to 47 Nm (35 ft. lbs.).

Install the bolt and nut to the engine mount strut at the left engine mount strut bracket on the engine.

Install the bolt and nut at the engine mount strut bracket on the upper radiator support, tightening the engine mount strut bolt to 48 Nm (35 ft. lbs.).

Insert a block of wood that spans the width of the oil pan bottom between the oil pan and the jack support to avoid oil pan damage and possible engine failure.

Reinstall the engine mount struts and the air cleaner outlet duct.

Attach the right engine mount strut to the right engine mount strut bracket.

Install the bolt and nut at the left engine mount strut bracket on the engine and tighten the engine mount strut nut to 48 Nm (35 ft. lbs.).

First, remove the bolt and nut from the engine mount strut at the left engine mount strut bracket on the engine.
