Do not touch the upper air cleaner cover screws when beginning your air cleaner exchange process. Begin by unscrewing the air cleaner cover screws then open the air cleaner cover by doing so. The Air Filter needs removal from the air cleaner with awareness of the non-serviceable hydrocarbon absorber within the air cleaner cover. Physical harm to the cover requires immediately replacing it. The air cleaner housing assembly needs evaluation for damage before taking any replacement action. Set the new Air Filter within the air cleaner before closing the air cleaner cover at cargo side while making sure the inboard hinges catch properly before screw installation. Screw down the air cleaner cover using a torque wrench set to 3 n.m (27 lb in).
