How to replace the air filter on Buick Lucerne? Posted by Customer
    A:
When you replace the air cleaner start by leaving the upper air cleaner cover screws in place. If the air cleaner has air functionality you must disconnect its quick connect fitting from the air cleaner. Next loosen the air cleaner cover screws and proceed. When replacing the Air Filter start by opening the air cleaner cover then extracting the Air Filter from the air cleaner. The air cleaner cover comes standard with a hydrocarbon adsorber which should never be serviced. The cover needs immediate replacement when physical damage appears. Check the damage on air cleaner housing assembly and proceed with needed replacement. When installing the new Air Filter you must position it inside the air cleaner while securing the inboard hinges before you tighten the screws on the cover. You should connect the quick connect fitting of the air hose to the air cleaner when it is present. Tighten the air cleaner cover screws at 3 n.m (27 lb in) torque.
