How to replace the rear brake calipers on the 2500 Series on 2007 Cadillac Escalade?

To replace the rear brake caliper for the 2500 series, inspect the level of fluid in the brake master cylinder reservoir first, when it is actually midway between the maximum-full point and the minimum allowable level, do not remove the fluids; but, if it is above that, lower it to the midway point. Lift and hold the vehicle, then remove the tire and wheels assembly. Engage 2 large c-clamps on the brake caliper pistons used for compressing them over the top of the housing to the brake caliper and tighten the c-clamps fully until the pistons retract fully. Clean all dirt and debris from the brake caliper and fittings by being sure of capping or plugging the brake hose to minimize on the leakage of fluid. Take out brake hose to caliper bolt and take off brake hose, discarding the 2 copper brake hose gaskets which you have to replace it with new one. Next, unfasten the brake caliper guide pin bolts and pull the brake caliper off the mounting bracket. For installation, fix the new brake caliper to the mounting bracket and bolt using the guide pin bolts and tighten them to rating of 108 n.m (80 lb ft). Remove the cap or plug at the brake hose on caliper end and replace with 2 new copper brake hose gaskets and then reinstall and affix the brake hose to the caliper bolt and tighten to 45 n.m (33 lb ft). Finally, bleed the hydraulic brake system, reinstall tire and wheel assembly and fill the master cylinder reservoir to the appropriate level with clean brake fluid if needed.
