How to replace the power steering gear (non rack and pinion) on 2007 Cadillac Escalade ESV?

As a replacement to the rack and pinion, place a drain pan under the car and take away the engine protection shield (if fitted). Disconnect power steering hoses, intermediate shaft and pitman arm. Take out the rack and pinion, and loosen the pitman arm using a puller. Fix by drilling the parts and bled-off the power steering system.
