How to replace the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor on 2007 Cadillac SRX?

To replace Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor, you start byinging off the ignition, and removing the fuel injector sight shield. Drain the coolant below ECT sensor. Unplug the ECT sensor harness connector and take off the ECT sensor. When you install the new ECT sensor, coat the threads of the sensor with the sealer GM P/N 1050805 or equivalent and install ECT sensor and tighten it with 20 N.m (15 lb ft). Connect ECT sensor harness connector, reinstall sight shield on fuel injectors, fill coolant system, and so on. Handle the coolant sensor carefully as it may impair the operation of the fuel control system and using the given torque in replacement parts will not harm it.
