How to replace the generator drive belt on 2007 Cadillac SRX?

Before installing the new generator Drive Belt the technician needs to remove three belts: air conditioning, power steering and water pump belt. The generator Drive Belt tensioner should be turned clockwise to reduce tension so the generator Drive Belt can be removed from the generator pulley. The Drive Belt tensioner should achieve rest position before you take out the generator Drive Belt from around the pulleys. When installing the generator Drive Belt it must be positioned toward the Crankshaft Pulley and tensioner before tightening the generator Drive Belt tensioner in a clockwise direction. Position the generator Drive Belt across the generator pulley while making sure the accessory drive pulley grooves properly accept its position. Before installing the air conditioning, power steering, and water pump belt, evaluate whether the generator Drive Belt seats correctly within all accessory drive pulleys after letting go of the Drive Belt tensioner.
