- Q: How to replace the radiator (LH2 - Standard Cooling) on 2007 Cadillac SRX?A: The first step to replace the Radiator (LH2 - Standard Cooling) is draining the coolant from the system. The first step is to disconnect the electric cooling fan and then proceed to remove the bolts securing the upper and lower condenser brackets. The Radiator requires the side air baffle lower retaining pins to be disconnected from the pins for transmitter Radiator mounting bolts access. By repositioning the condenser afterward you can extract the mounting bolts. Deploy hose clamp pliers j 38185 to loosen hose clamp tensions allowing you to detach the Radiator outlet hose and surge tank inlet hose and the Radiator inlet hose from the Radiator. The Radiator support brackets must be unbolted followed by removing the Radiator support brackets before disconnecting the upper air baffle retaining pins from the Radiator and taking out the Radiator. Start Radiator installation by attaching the unit while installing upper air baffle retaining pins. Install the Radiator support brackets before fastening them with Radiator support bracket bolts which should be tightened to 9 n.m (80 lb in). Secure the hose clamp pliers (J 38185) to position clamps effectively when connecting surge tank inlet hose, Radiator inlet hose and Radiator outlet hose to the Radiator. The vehicle requires suspension for installation of toc mounting bolts which should be tightened to 5 n.m (44 lb in). Secure the electric cooling fan by attaching the side air baffle lower retaining pins followed by installation of lower and upper condenser mounting bolts which must be tightened to 6.5 n.m (58 lb in). The cooling system needs filling to finalize the operation.
