How to replace the water pump (LH2) on 2007 Cadillac SRX?

Use static fill method (GE 47716) to drain the cooling system and then start replacing the Water Pump (LH2). Start by detaching the cooling fan before reaching the Water Pump Drive Belt and Drive Belt tensioner. You need to unscrew both bolts that secure the Water Pump Pulley. Unbolt the Water Pump and save the escaping coolant in a collection tray. Remove the pump unit together with its seal and throw away the old seal. Check the connection area of the Water Pump before performing any testing. The new Water Pump and seal should go onto the engine front cover following the fastener notice before installation. Replace the Water Pump using bolts that need a torque of 10 n.m before applying the Water Pump Pulley at 12 n.m. Reattach the Drive Belt tensioner and Water Pump Drive Belt after putting back the cooling fan. Complete the cooling system operation by using static fill method from device code ge 47716.
