A vehicle owner must drain engine coolant before starting the auxiliary water pump replacement task. You can remove the hose from the auxiliary water pump by sliding the hose clamp down using hose clamp pliers part number J 38185. Pull the hose clamp towards the hose and then disconnect the hose from the auxiliary water pump. Detach the auxiliary water pump electricity link before removing both pump nuts and finally removing the pump hardware. Position the new auxiliary water pump while putting the nuts in place then tighten them to 9 N.m (80 lb in). Push the hose onto the auxiliary water pump and secure it properly by sliding the hose clamp back using Hose Clamp Pliers J 38185. Position the new auxiliary water pump onto threads after linking the second hose and tightening the hose clamp with Hose Clamp Pliers (J 38185). Finally, fill the coolant.
