How to replace the water pump (LY7) (3.6L) on 2009 Cadillac SRX?

Removing the Water Pump (LY7) (3.6L), start by removing the cooling system. The next step is to take the generator Drive Belt. Retain the Water Pump Pulley using the en 46104 (Water Pump Pulley holding tool), remove the Water Pump Pulley bolts; remove the pulley itself. Move on to remove the Water Pump bolts and the Water Pump, disposing of the old Water Pump seal in the process. Take care to clean the sealing surfaces of the Water Pump well. Install a new Water Pump seal and the Water Pump and torque the Water Pump bolts to 10 nm (89 lb in). Install the Water Pump Pulley and the bolts thereof with the use of the en 46104 (Water Pump Pulley Holding Tool) for the second time, and tighten the pulley bolts to 12 nm (106 lb in). Lastly, install the generator Drive Belt, then top-off the cooling system.
