How to replace the thermostat (LH2) on 2007 Cadillac SRX?

You need to empty the cooling system before starting Thermostat (LH2) replacement. Begin by removing the air cleaner outlet duct followed by Radiator Hose and heater hose from the Thermostat Housing. Use a screwdriver to remove all Thermostat Housing bolts and disconnect the Thermostat from the water housing by lifting off the Thermostat Housing. Throw away the seal ring. Next use a screwdriver to take out the Thermostat from its residential position within the Thermostat Housing. First clean both the Thermostat Housing and water housing seals before installing a new Thermostat inside its housing. Screw on the new seal to the Thermostat Housing before mounting the Thermostat Housing together with the Thermostat and seal onto the water housing. Make sure to tighten the Thermostat Housing bolts to 10 n.m (89 lb in). After reconnecting the heater and radiator hoses to the Thermostat Housing you should reinstall the air cleaner outlet duct while performing the cooling system refill.
