- Q: How to replace the rear side door window regulator on 2007 Cadillac SRX?A: The process of replacing the rear side door Window Regulator begins by lifting the window to its maximum position while you remove the door trim panel together with the water deflector. The window gets taped while being positioned at full height and the wire harness connector of the door trim panel connects. Use a Power Window Switch to operate the Window Regulator position down to about 1/2-way. Then turn the window clamp nuts four revolutions loose. Detach the electrical connection from the power Window Motor followed by removal of the Window Regulator bolts (1, 2, 3, 4, 5). Put the Window Regulator through the rear hole opening of the door panel. Install the Window Regulator by inserting it through the rear access hole in the door while tightening the Window Regulator bolts (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) to 9 n.m (80 lb in). Lower the window through the clamps of the regulator after removing tape from its surface. Start the car now to check for maximum power available to the Window Motor through its electrical cables since the Window Motor power determines proper window positioning and adjustment. Raise the window to its maximum height before tightening each nuts of the window clamp to 11 n.m (95 lb in). Check the window for adequate function before powering off the vehicle and adding the water deflector followed by the door trim panel installation.
