How to replace the rear door window regulator on Cadillac SRX?

The first step for changing a rear door Window Regulator requires fully raising the window before you remove the door trim panel together with the water deflector. Purge the window to its highest position and establish the connection for the door trim panel wire harness. Slightly loose the window clamp nuts by four turns before operating the power switch to let the regulator drop halfway down. First disconnect the electrical connector of the power Window Motor before removing the bolts (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) on the Window Regulator. Pull out the Window Regulator by accessing it from the rear opening of the door panel. The installation of the Window Regulator occurs when you put it into the door through the rear access hole while strictly following the fastener notice in service precautions. Use 9 n.m (80 lb in) torque when tightening each of the bolts (1, 2, 3, 4, 5). The tape needs removal before sliding the window down into the clamps of the Window Regulator.
