How to replace the engine oil pressure switch on 2007 Cadillac XLR?

Make sure you first lift and support your vehicle before starting the sensor or switch replacement process. Take off the electrical connector from the engine oil pressure switch, then pull the switch off the oil filter adapter with a Snap-On S 6152 Oil Pressure Sender Switch Crowfoot Wrench (1 1/16") or something similar. After that, set a new O-ring onto the oil pressure switch and tighten it to 16 N.m (12 lb ft) with the wrench you used before. After installing the electrical connector to the engine oil pressure switch, lower the vehicle and adjust the engine oil to the full marker. When the engine is started, check all around the engine for any oil leaks.
