Begin the installation step by opening the rear compartment and pulling back the carpet in the center of the compartment. Remove the electrical connector and the manual release cable from the latch's terminal ends. Use Part Paint to mark the exact location of the latch on its new position. Unscrew the nuts connecting the latch to the rear panel surface before taking out the latch. Append the latch to the rear compartment panel and attach its nuts while tightening them to 10 N.m (89 lb in). Fasten the manual release cable and electrical connector to the latch unit after fitting the rear fascia back into place along with moving the rear center compartment carpet back into position and closing the rear storage compartment.
