How to replace the Turn Signal Switch on 2007 Cadillac XLR?

Before you can replace the turn signal multifunction switch you must disable the sir system. First you need to take off both Steering Column trim covers and their retaining screws from the multifunction switch before disconnecting the electrical contacts. Insert the electric wires into the new switch and place it on the Steering Column after you take out the multifunction switch. Place the retaining screws for the switch assembly and torque them to 3.4 n.m (30 lb in). Reassemble the Steering Column trim covers after enabling sir system functions.
