To replace the evaporator hose assembly rpo codes l61 and le5; first recover the refrigerant. Next, remove the compressor valve of the hose and discard the seal washer. Then, remove the condenser tube and evaporator hose from the thermal expansion valve (TXV) and throw away the seal washers. For installation, start by fitting new sealing washers on the condenser tube and evaporator hose fittings and then fitting the condenser tube and evaporator hose on to the txv. Install the txv nut and tighten at 20 n.m (15 lb ft). Next, also install a new seal washer on the compressor hose and connect the compressor and nut with the evaporator hose and tighten the nut to an extent of 20 n.m (15 lb ft). Last, evacuate and charge the refrigerant system and perform a leak test on the fittings with the halogen leak detector (J39400-A).
