Pass the condenser bolt and tube through the condenser until only the sealing washers become waste. Lower the vehicle before you detach the air cleaner assembly from its position. Detaching the condenser tube starts at the frame rail before moving toward the dash front. The worker then disconnects the condenser tube along with the evaporator hose from the thermal expansion valve (TXV) before discarding a separate seal washer. The installation process begins with attaching new sealing washers to the condenser tube and evaporator hose fittings before joining the txv with the condenser tube and evaporator hose while tightening the txv nut to 20 n.m (15 lb ft). Fasten the condenser tube to the front of the dash before tightening its nut to 10 n.m (88 lb in) then secure the condenser tube to the frame rail while replacing the air cleaner assembly. After raising the vehicle again you must attach a new seal washer to the condenser tube and fasten the condenser tube and bolt to the condenser by tightening the bolt to 20 n.m (15 lb ft). Advancing the vehicle will allow evacuation and refrigerant system charging procedures while the technician conducts the j 39400-a leak test on the fittings.
