The first steps to replace the air temperature actuator involve cutting power to hvac ctrl (BATT) then removing the steering column filler panel. Unplug the actuator's electrical connector before removing the securing screws to take out the actuator. When installing the new actuator position it correctly before applying electrical connections while keeping the key in off before performing calibration. Fasten the actuator using screws at 2.2 n.m (19 lb in) torque while reattaching the electrical connector. Reinstall both the steering column filler panel and the hvac ctrl (BATT) Fuse. Turn on the engine for one minute while maintaining static hvac control assembly settings to avoid concurring hvac performance issues.
