    Q:
How to replace the defroster Blend Door Actuator on Chevrolet Cavalier? Posted by Customer
    A:
To remove the defroster actuator, start by removing the HVAC module assembly. Next, remove the 2 screws holding the recirculation actuator housing to the hvac module assembly, and then remove the housing. Before removing the actuator itself, disconnect the blue vacuum hose and the green vacuum hose from the defroster actuator by lifting the lock tab and tugging it out. Release the defroster actuator linkage from the defroster door lever by squeezing the tabs of the lever. For installation, you will bother the defroster actuator linkage to the defroster door lever and slide the actuator over the mounting bracket till it locks into place. The blue vacuum hose and the green vacuum hose are then to be reconnected to the actuator followed by re-installation of the recirculation actuator housing to the HVAC module assembly and securing with the help of 2 screws. Finally, reinstall the module for HVAC assembles.
