How to replace the Crankshaft Position Sensor on 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt?

Begin replacement of the Crankshaft Position Sensor by taking out the Starter appliance and disconnecting the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor electrical connection. First disconnect the electrical connector from the ckp sensor before removing its bolt and sensor. Before installing the ckp sensor examine its o-ring for condition while treating it with mineral-based grease before carefully placing the sensor into the engine block. Fasten the ckp sensor bolt with an 8 n.m (71 lb in) torque rating. After reconnecting the electrical connector to the ckp sensor please reinstall the Starter back into place. Execute the ckp system variation learn procedure as the last step of installation.
