2007 Chevrolet Colorado Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the coolant reservoir on 2007 Chevrolet Colorado?
A: Partial coolant draining must occur before removing the air cleaner assembly during coolant recovery reservoir replacement. Start by disconnecting the coolant overflow hose from the coolant recovery reservoir then remove the bolt that holds the reservoir to its brackets. First disconnect the radiator vent hose from the coolant recovery reservoir before removing the bolt which secures the reservoir to the front wheel house panel to finish removing the coolant recovery reservoir. Position the coolant recovery reservoir then install its retaining bolt to the front wheelhouse panel with 12 n.m (106 lb in) torque setting. Secure the reservoir to coolant recovery reservoir bracket with a bolt followed by nut tightening up to 10 n.m (88 lb in). Rejoin the overflow hose to its destination at the coolant recovery reservoir then replace the air cleaner assembly before filling the cooling system.
