How to replace the windshield washer reservoir on Chevrolet Colorado? Posted by Customer
    A:
Start by removing the air cleaner assembly and then undo the washer container from its mounting points at the fender flange and wheelhouse. Detach the Washer Pump electrical connector and remove the washer container retainer bolt to top bracket, then unfasten the washer/coolant reservoir bolt from the j-clip. Move the Coolant Reservoir aside and separate the washer hose from the Washer Pump before transferring washer solvent into a proper collection vessel. Remove the Washer Pump together with its grommet cap and lower grommet then dispose of the old washer solvent container . Insert the new Washer Pump grommet into the container then slide the pump down using washer solvent to help installation. Put the washer solvent container in place under the fender flange and start the bolts without tightening them. Attach the bottom bracket of the Coolant Reservoir with the washer solvent container by installing its bolt at the upper bracket loosely. Install the bracket bolt lightly to hold the washer solvent container in place. Turn the fender flange bolts and washer solvent container bracket bolt to 9 n.m torque while using a j-clip to fasten the bolt on the washer and coolant assemblies alongside the Coolant Reservoir to wheelhouse bolt. Join the washer hose to the Washer Pump equipment and link the Washer Pump electric connector. Reinstall the air cleaner parts, put washer solvent into the tank, and look for leakages in the washing system before finalizing the hood closure.

    Q:
How to replace the washer reservoir for the 2.8L or 3.5L engine on Chevrolet Colorado? Posted by Customer
    A:
First take away the air cleaner assembly before starting the windshield washer solvent container work on 2.8l (LK5) and 3.5l (L52) engines. You need to remove washer container fasteners to fender flange (1,2) while doing cooler reservoir to wheelhouse fastener. Gently lift the container up to see and unplug the electrical wire from the Washer Pump before taking off the washer hose. Disconnect the washer solvent container and coolant recovery reservoir clips from their fender flange locations before taking out the washer solvent and engine coolant drained substances into their containers. Find a clean workspace then take off the coolant container overflow hose, coolant recovery reservoir cap, windshield washer container cap, coolant recovery to radiator hose, windshield Washer Pump and grommet, and windshield washer container lower grommet from the reservoir before disposing of it. Put the new washer solvent container / coolant recovery reservoir on top of the bench with clean washer solvent applied to help install the Washer Pump grommet. Install the new reservoir in the engine area and fasten the washer hose to the pump spout before joining the electrical wire with the pump and connecting the coolant recovery hoses near the fender flange. Connect the washer container to fender flange fasteners (1,2) with a torque level of 9 n.m (80 lb in), plus join the coolant recovery reservoir to wheelhouse fastener at the same setting. Put back the air filter parts followed by adding washer solvent into the system tank and adding fresh coolant into the coolant collection reservoir as specified by the manufacturer. Check for fluid leaks from the washer system before covering the hood.

How to replace the windshield washer reservoir on GMC Canyon? Posted by Customer
    A:
You need to take off the air cleaner assembly to replace the windshield washer solvent container when working on the engines lk5 or l52. Unfasten the two washer container fasteners from the fender flange while also withdrawing the Coolant Reservoir wheelhouse bolt. Lift the container up to undo and remove the electrical connector from the Washer Pump before taking off the washer hose from its spout. You need to untighten the hose clips from the fender flange unit and take the washer solvent container / coolant recovery reservoir out of the engine bay space while capturing washer solvent and engine coolant into separate storage. Set the reservoir on a clean workplace while you take off the coolant container overflow hose, radiator Coolant Reservoir Cap, windshield washer tank cap, radiator coolant to reservoir hose, and windshield Washer Pump and lower grommet install the washer solvent container / coolant recovery reservoir on your workbench besides installing all component parts like the coolant overflow hose, tank cap, washer container cap, fuel mixture hose, washer pump with new grommet and washer container lower grommet with clean washer solvent. Set the new reservoir next to the engine and link the washer hose to the Washer Pump where it requires a power connection before attaching the coolant recovery hose clips to the fender flange. Fasten the washer container to fender flange anchors (1,2) at 9 nm torque using torque wrench and join the coolant recovery reservoir to wheelhouse position with 9 nm torque setting. Place the new air cleaner assembly over its engine slot while also filling the washer solvent container with valid washing fluid before putting fresh engine coolant into the coolant system as per factory directions. Test the washer system for leaks and seal the hood at last step.
