The first step for replacing the Fuel Tank filler hose requires users to drain part of the fuel from the tank below its fill hose level. Support the vehicle properly while reaching the fuel fill hose through the wheelhouse liner until you remove the left wheelhouse liner from the pickup box. You must start by taking off the frame-mounted fuel fill hose ground strap bolt together with its associated ground strap. First disconnect the fill tube vent line through the Fuel Tank evaporative emission (EVAP) line quick connect fitting. The next step is to loosen the Fuel Tank fuel fill hose clamp and disconnect the gear from the tank. To work on the fuel fill hose the first step should be splitting this component from the Fuel Tank before removing the Fuel Tank screws and pulling out the hose from the vehicle framework. Format the Fuel Tank opening with a cap to stop system contamination. To put the hose in place for installation you should uncork the Fuel Tank and secure the fuel fill hose to the fender before fastening screws to 2 n.m (18 lb in) torque.
