2007 Chevrolet Colorado Harmonic Balancer Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the harmonic balancer on 2007 Chevrolet Colorado?
A: The Crankshaft balancer replacement process starts by disassembling the cooling fan and Drive Belt before performing vehicle elevation and support at a height. The Crankshaft balancer lacks a key-way feature so the service slot plug removal enables the Crankshaft to rotate when tightening because improper torque may occur. Use the en 46547 to position in the flywheel teeth before lowering the vehicle while discarding the Crankshaft balancer bolt. Install the j 41816-2 at the Crankshaft end so you can avoid pulling on the outer edge of the Crankshaft balancer before using a 3 jaw puller to remove the balancer. Install the new Crankshaft balancer by using the j 41478 before removing the j 41478 from the alignment. Place the Crankshaft balancer washer onto the component and put on a new bolt before torquing it to 150 n.m (111 lb ft) followed by another 180-degree turn using the j 45059 . To complete the repair raise the vehicle again then remove the en 46547 from flywheel teeth before putting in the service slot plug and the Drive Belt also install the cooling fan while lowering the vehicle.
