• Q: How to replace the underhood fuse box on 2007 Chevrolet Corvette?

  A: The first step to replace either the underhood electrical center or junction block involves disconnecting the negative Battery Cable followed by removing the positive Battery Cable lead nut from the junction block and repositioning its length away. Start by unscrewing the junction block cover then release the electrical cable retainers located at its rear section. First reverse the junction block position and open its bottom protective cover before unfastening bolts connecting the junction block to engine wiring and i/p harness and forward lamp wiring. Unplug both the Engine Wiring Harness Connector and the i/p wiring harness connector from the junction block before proceeding to take out the junction block. To install connect the i/p wiring harness connector to the junction block first and then the Engine Wiring Harness Connector. Secure the underhood junction block connector bolts using torque of 7 n.m (62 lb in). Install the junction block cover after you connect the electrical cable retainers at the rear of the electrical center and turn the electrical center to its correct orientation. Connect the positive Battery Cable lead to the junction block stud before tightening the lead nut to 10 n.m (89 lb in). After that, restore the negative Battery Cable.
