2007 Chevrolet Corvette Starter Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the starter motor on 2007 Chevrolet Corvette?
A: Start by disconnecting the negative Battery Cable followed by removing the right Catalytic Converter. Begin by unfastening the solenoid's positive Battery Cable nut before removing the positive terminal with its accompanying engine harness leads. First remove the s terminal nut from the solenoid before taking off its purple wire lead and washer. After supporting the Starter motor users should remove the Starter motor bolts to extract the Starter motor. After setting the Starter motor on the block, install Starter motor bolts with a torque of 50 n.m (37 lb ft) until proper tightness is achieved. During installation arrange the purple lead wire to face the 10 o'clock direction. First install the s terminal washer and purple lead wire on the Starter motor before screwing the s terminal nut down to 4 n.m (35 lb in). Note: position the gray and rust harness leads at the 6 o'clock and 7 o'clock points. First install the gray and rust harness leads on the solenoid before adding the positive Battery Cable terminal and securing its nut to 8 n.m (71 lb in). Reinstall the right Catalytic Converter while also performing a negative Battery Cable reconnection.
