The replacement process for instrument panel electrical center or junction block starts by recording radio presets before disabling the ignition. Begin by detaching the screws from the battery cooling box then removing the battery cover. First disconnect the negative Battery Cable and then proceed to disconnect the positive cable. The next step includes console removal followed by a nut disconnect of the body 68-way connector and i/p 68-way connector and i/p 24-way connector from their back fuse block positions. Disconnect the bolt retention of the fuse block before removing both the fuse block and ground wire. The installation process begins with placing the fuse block while attaching the ground wire to its bolt and tightening it to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Securely attach harness connectors to the fuse block back section while tightening them to 4 n.m (35 lb in). The first step is to install the console followed by Battery Cable positive attachment and 17 n.m (13 lb ft) tensioning of the holding bolt before connecting the negative cable and achieving equivalent torque for the bolt's securing. Reset the radio stations on the presets before reinstalling the battery cooling box cover while adding screws tightened at 2 n.m (18 lb in).
