How to replace the Wheel Speed Sensor (WSS) on a 4WD on 2007 Chevrolet Express 3500?

You must raise the vehicle on jacks and put support stands under it before you can remove the tire, wheel and Wheel Speed Sensor (WSS) from a 4wd vehicle. First remove the brake rotor from 1500 series vehicles and then take off the wss cable mounting clips attached to the knuckle, upper Control Arm, and frame. Remove the electrical connector from the wss cable and take out the bolt from the wss mounting bracket. Caution should be taken when pulling the Wheel Speed Sensor from the hub/bearing assembly in 2500/3500 series models to keep the sensor body intact. Put debris plugs in the hub bore before inserting new wss onto the hub. Brush the hub surface and paint a thin layer of wheel bearing lubricant underneath gm p/n 01051344 o-ring. lod asio1709.0001. Insert the wss into the hub assembly while ensuring flat alignment then fasten it with a bolt tightened to 18 n.m (13 lb ft). Reposition the wss mounting clips on the knuckle and frame contacts. Plug in the wss cable wire and put back the brake rotor for the 1500 series models. Finish by returning the wheel and tire. Finish the repair by testing the vehicle electronics system functions.
