2007 Chevrolet HHR Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the blower motor on 2007 Chevrolet HHR?
A: When replacing the Blower Motor start by removing the right sound insulator and the instrument panel compartment. Start by disconnecting the Blower Motor connector before taking out its lower cover retaining screws and removing both parts. Cut through the case evenly when removing Blower Motor nuts to prevent damage to parts and stop when you remove the motor cup. Cut through the case wall between motor-settling ribs with a utility knife to free the Blower Motor and press the motor holding pin to remove it from the case cup. Insert the motor unit into the motor cup cutout of the lower case assembly and fasten motor nuts with 2.4 n.m (21 lb in) torque value. Fit the service ring to the motor cup through its screws then fasten at 1.8 n.m (15 lb in). Mount the Blower Motor and service ring assembly onto the hvac module using kit screws while keeping the Blower Motor electrical connector facing behind the vehicle. Tighten these screws to 1.8 n.m (15 lb in). Secure the lower Blower Motor cover and its retaining screws with snug fits at 1.8 n.m (15 lb in). Reconnect the Blower Motor electrical connection and put back the i/p compartment before installing the right sound insulator.
