How to replace the ignition switch on 2007 Chevrolet HHR?

In order to install a new ignition and start switch, you have to take the steering column trim cover off and unplug the ignition switch harness. Switch the ignition switch to the run position, loose the screws and mount the new switch. Rebuild the harness and put on the trim covers again.
