How to replace the A/C Expansion Valve on 2007 Chevrolet Malibu?

Replacement To replace the thermal expansion valve (TXV), drain out the refrigerant, disconnect the surge tank, and disconnect the suction and liquid lines. Take out the TXV screws and the TXV, sealing all A/C parts. Install new sealing washers, rejoin the lines and carry out leak test prior to refitting the surge tank.
