The process to replace the rear side Door Check starts with removing the rear door trim panel followed by taking out the rear inside Door Handle then uninstalling the rear door water deflector. First separate the bolt which maintains the rear Door Check to the body followed by loosening the nuts connecting the check to the door before extracting the check from its position on the door. Place the rear Door Check on the door while making sure the alignment mark points toward the top direction for installation. Introduce two nuts which will fasten the rear Door Check to the door at 9 n.m (80 lb in), then insert and tighten the bolt that joins the check to the body at 25 n.m (18.4 lb ft). After the task is complete you should replace the rear door water deflector followed by the rear door inside handle and then finally place on the rear door trim panel.
