How to replace the rear crankshaft seal on 2007 GMC Envoy?

A technician must remove the transmission and the Flywheel before they can install a new crankshaft rear oil seal keeping the crankshaft and seal bore free from damage. A suitable tool should be used to extract the crankshaft rear oil seal from its position in the rear oil seal housing. The procedure for seal installation requires both the rear seal installer (J 44227) and plastic installation sleeve delivered with the new seal to properly fit the crankshaft rear oil seal. Following the installation process safely remove the rear seal installer (J 44227) tool and throw away the seal installation sleeve. Place the transmission and finally reinstall the Flywheel.
