2007 GMC Envoy Intake Manifold Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the intake manifold on 2007 GMC Envoy?
A: To replace the Intake Manifold, you disconnect the negative battery wire and relieve the fuel pressure. After removing the Throttle Body, take out the power train control module (PCM) by unscrewing the retaining bolts and nuts. It is necessary to remove the pcm after disconnecting the fuel feed pipe from the Fuel Rail and the integral clip from the wire harness bracket. Firstly, remove the engine wire harness bracket bolt, then disconnect the electrical harness and the vacuum lines on the Intake Manifold. Unplug the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor electrical connector, crank case vacuum hose, and the vacuum brake booster hose from the Intake Manifold. Belt it and loose the Intake Manifold by removing the generator without removing the captured Intake Manifold bolts. For installation, replace a new Intake Manifold Gasket on the Intake Manifold and fasten it with bolts tightened to 10 n.m (89 lb in), and reinstall the generator. After this step, lubricate the inner diameter of the crankcase ventilation hose before attaching it, then connect MAP Sensor electrical connector, electrical harness and vacuum lines to the Intake Manifold. Replace the engine electrical harness bracket bolt and tighten to 10 n.m (89 lb in), and attach the integral clip to the wire harness bracket. Attach the fuel feed pipe to the Fuel Rail, install the pcm mounting studs and tighten them with 6 n.m (53 lb in), then mount the pcm onto the studs and attach it with retaining bolts and nuts both tightened using 8 n.m (71 lb in). Last, connect the pcm harness connectors and tighten the retaining bolts to 8 n.m (71 lb in), re- install the Throttle Body, reconnect the negative Battery Cable, and perform a leak check by turning the key on with engine off for 2 seconds, off for 10, and onagainwhile checking for fuel leaks.
