    Q:
How to replace the intake manifold on Chevrolet Trailblazer? Posted by Customer
    A:
Begin Intake Manifold replacement by removing the Throttle Body and pcm followed by removing all harnesses from the engine harness bracket. The front differential vent hose should be detached from its bracket clip followed by removal of the engine harness bracket bolt to pull off the bracket. The first step includes disconnecting the map sensor electrical connector followed by braking the crankcase ventilation hose and booster hose. Caps off the generator before loosening the Intake Manifold bolts to finally extract the Intake Manifold itself. The installation process includes placing a new Intake Manifold Gasket before setting the Intake Manifold on the engine and tightening its bolts to 10 nm (89 inch lbs.). Put the booster generator and brake hose back into their correct position. Apply gm p/n 12345884 (Canadian P/N 5728223) equivalent lubricant to the inner hose diameter before reinstalling the hose and attaching the map sensor electrical connector. Reattach the engine harness bracket, securing it with the bolt tightened to 50 nm (37 ft. Lbs.)next comes installation of the front differential vent hose to engine harness bracket clip. The last step includes connecting all harnesses to their correct locations while installing the pcm followed by reinstallation of the Throttle Body.

    Q:
How to replace the intake manifold on GMC Envoy? Posted by Customer
    A:
The process begins by removing the Throttle Body along with the pcm and engine harness bracket connectors before releasing the front differential vent hose from its bracket clip. Start by removing the engine harness bracket bolt before removing the bracket followed by disconnecting the MAP Sensor electrical connector and the crankcase ventilation hose along with the brake hose at the booster. The first step involves generator removal before starting the bolt loosening procedure of Intake Manifold bolts followed by Intake Manifold removal. Begin by applying a new Intake Manifold Gasket and afterward position the Intake Manifold onto the engine while tightening bolts at 10 nm (89 inch lbs.). After reinstalling the generator and booster brake hose you must apply gm p/n 12345884 (Canadian P/N 5728223) lubricant to the inner diameter of the crankcase ventilation hose before installing it. Secure the engine harness bracket by torquing its bolt to 50 nm (37 ft. Lbs.) after reconnecting the MAP Sensor electrical connector. Secure the front differential vent hose to the engine harness bracket clip then replace all engine harnesses to their proper locations on the bracket before reinstalling the pcm which requires reinstalling the Throttle Body.
