2008 Buick Lucerne Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the Air Suspension Compressor on 2008 Buick Lucerne?
A: The first step to replace the air compressor should be vehicle elevation. Clean both the air compressor and intake Air Filter components before disconnecting the Air Hose while ensuring that no dirt enters the alc system. The installation process starts with tube removal from the air dryer followed by the disconnection of the bolt then the tube harness from the air compressor bracket. Start by taking off the intake Air Filter followed by disconnecting the vehicle harness connector from the air compressor connector. First remove the air compressor assembly with its 2 nuts and 2 bolts secured to the vehicle before slipping the compressor connector away from its anchor position. Two bolts and the heat shield need to be removed from the air compressor bracket. When installing the heat shield on the air compressor bracket use 3 bolts but wait to attach the fourth bolt until the air tube connection is made before tightening all bolts to 4 n.m (35 lb in). Thread the air compressor connector into the connector anchor before fastening the assembled air compressor onto the vehicle with 2 nuts and 2 bolts tightened to 9 n.m (80 lb in). Before installation connect the harness connector to the air compressor connector. The next step includes putting on the intake Air Filter and linking the air tube to the air dryer. Use a bolt to join the air tube with the harness tie to the air compressor bracket then torque it to 4 n.m (35 lb in). The air adjustable shock absorbers require 45 seconds of ignition during which you should wait before lowering the vehicle.
