How to replace the negative battery cable (LY7) on 2008 Cadillac CTS?

To replace the negative Battery Cable (LY7), the negative Battery Cable should be disconnected first. Then, remove the instrument panel (I/P) harness electrical connector from the battery current sensor. Disconnect the negative Battery Cable from the side rail by removing the bolt that secures the negative Battery Cable, and disconnect the body harness connector from the negative Battery Cable. Next, you have to eliminate stud linking the negative Battery Cable to the engine block and bring down the vehicle to establish the negative cable battery. For an installation, place and fix the new negative Battery Cable to the engine block stud, fix the stud to 50 n.m (37 lb ft). Attach the bolt to hold the negative Battery Cable to the side rail with a 36 n.m (27 lb ft) torque. Connect the body harness connector to the battery negative of the battery, connect the i/p harness electrical connecting to the battery current sensor, reconnect the battery negative.
