After separation push the rubber grommet within the dashboard pass-through to dislocate it. First uninstall the windshield washer solvent heater and proceed to the engine compartment where you should detach the battery positive cable from the body harness by untaping both components. The new battery positive cable installation involves first positioning it between the vehicle and body harness in the engine compartment before alignment and taping then reinserting the rubber grommet into the dashboard pass-through. Fasten the passenger compartment battery positive cable while patching it in place then install body harnesses to available bracket systems followed by installing new or reused retainers. After plugging the battery positive cable to the front underhood electrical center or junction block, install the battery positive cable nut while maintaining torque to 15 Nm (11 lb ft).
