2008 Cadillac CTS Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the fuel pressure sensor on 2008 Cadillac CTS?
A: The first step for replacing the fuel tank pressure sensor includes vehicle elevation followed by support. Connectors that maintain power to the fuel tank pressure sensor should be disconnected first. The canister contains alignment features but it lacks any locking tabs which secure the sensor together with the canister through the multi-lip seal tight fit. There are two steps to replace the fuel tank pressure sensor: first disconnect the sensor from the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister and then install the new sensor back into the canister. To install the tank pressure sensor users must first securely position it onto the canister until complete seating occurs before connecting its electrical connector and lowering the vehicle.
