How to replace the rear Motor and Transmission Mount on 2008 Cadillac DTS?

To replace the rear mount of the transmission, one needs to initially raise and support the vehicle. Support the assembly of the engine by suitable jacks. Take off nuts securing transmission mount to the transmission mount bracket . Lift the jack slightly to pull up the engine assembly off the engine frame. Next, use the bolts to stop the mount from holding on to the frame, then use the one nut to hold the mount on to the frame, then remove the mount. For installation, install the mount first. Attach the mount attaching bolts and nut on the frame and tighten to 50 N.m (37 lb ft). Keep the transmission in position then tighten the nuts to the mount and mount bracket by tightening the mount nut to 50N.m (37lb.ft). Finally, remove the engine assembly support jack and bring the vehicle down.
