How to replace a water pump on 2008 Cadillac DTS?

Before replacing the water pump you must remove its housing. You need to remove both water pump cover bolts and then take out its cover. Pull off the water pump bolts and take out both the pump unit while also discarding its O-ring seal. Begin the installation by putting a fresh water pump O-ring seal onto its assigned position and then add the water pump itself. Use hand tools to fasten the water pump bolts with a torque of 10 N.m (89 lb in). Insert the water pump bolt into its designated lower inboard steel plate location first before attaching all steel studs to their proper positions. After threading the bolt/studs to 10 N.m tension install the water pump housing.
